Youth Conference 2023

Kids in Preschool

Stonecrest is looking to create an annual event where youth can come and experience Christ in a more dynamic
and fun atmosphere. We are hosting this annual event for the following reasons: The youth will meet
like-minded peers who love the Lord and are committed to living a lifestyle set apart from the world’s
standards. It will be instrumental in launching the spiritual lives of our young Christians. The conference
will also be a platform for training up our youth in the truth of God’s word. The stronger these young
Christians are, thanks to their youth ministers and conferences like this one, the greater the impact they
can have on their communities and their church.

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

ABOUT THE Seminar faciliators:

Khiry Thomas

Khiry Thomas is a devoted and enthusiastic young man, whose unwavering faith has led him to serve at the Locust Grove Church of Christ. Born and raised in South Fulton, GA, formally unincorporated College Park, Khiry’s passion for spreading the message of love and compassion has always been evident. After graduating from the DeKalb
County Police Department’s police academy in 2011, Khiry married, Pollie, and they have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kween and Kadence. As a loving husband and doting father, Khiry finds immense joy in nurturing his family while also dedicating himself to serving the congregation and community.

Since becoming a member of the Body of Christ, Khiry has stepped up to serve as a deacon. He has been a pillar of strength and support for both the leadership and the congregation. His kind and approachable nature makes him an effective listener and counselor, providing comfort to those facing life's trials. Whether it's organizing community outreach programs or leading youth activities, Khiry's infectious enthusiasm
has drawn many newcomers to the church. Through his sermons, he shares his experiences as a young parent, resonating deeply with young families and inspiring them to strengthen their bond with faith.

Khiry's commitment to his faith and his family sets an exemplary standard for the church community. With his strong sense of integrity and his desire to make a positive impact, he continues to enrich the lives of those around him. As he navigates the joys and challenges of being a young, married deacon with two daughters, Khiry's steadfast
dedication to his responsibilities in his over 15-year career as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Georgia Army National, almost a decade in civilian law enforcement with the Henry County and DeKalb County Police Departments, and most importantly his unwavering commitment to the Lord’s church has shown that with God anything is possible.
